Southern Peanut Growers’ “PB My Kid’s Way” Recipe Contest Calling for Kid Favorites

Parents are encouraged to submit their favorite family recipes by March 31

CANTON, GA – February 27, 2013 – Southern Peanut Growers (SPG) today announced details of its fourth annual recipe contest, “PB My Kid’s Way.” This year in honor of National Peanut Month, SPG is looking for the peanut butter recipes kids love most, and encouraging parents to submit those family favorites by March 31.

“It’s time for parents to exercise their bragging rights, and share the creative ideas their children and family have come up with over the years,” says Leslie Wagner, executive director, Southern Peanut Growers. “Because peanut butter is such a versatile ingredient, I’m excited to see a wide variety of entries.”

The contest is open to all recipe categories – from an afterschool snack to a silly combination – all entries are welcome. A one-year supply (one case) of peanut butter will be awarded to the top ten participants who enter the most creative and delicious recipes, and an iPad will be awarded to the grand prize winning entry.

Peanut butter lovers nationwide are encouraged to share their favorite recipe with SPG by March 31, 2013.
