Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 -3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 -1/2 cups light brown sugar
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup peanut butter
2 Tablespoons vanilla extract
1 cup slightly chopped salted peanuts

Instructions

In a heavy 2 quart saucepan on low heat, add butter stir until melted, add brown sugar and granulated sugar, cook till sugar is dissolved, mix well, stir in heavy cream until blended. Bring mixture to a rolling boil, stirring constantly, reduce heat to medium high stirring constantly until mixture becomes foamy looking, this takes about 20 to 25 minutes or to soft ball stage. Test mixture in a bowl of cold water, the mixture should form a soft ball that stays together, once mixture reaches this stage remove from heat, stir in vanilla, peanut butter and peanuts, continue to stir for 2 minutes, spoon individual circles on parchment paper, allow pralines to cool completely before removing from parchment paper, store in an airtight containers for gift-giving!
