Father-son duo, Carl and Jonathan Sanders are fourth- and fifth-generation farmers on their land in Dothan, Alabama. While farming 250 acres of peanuts and nearly 800 acres of additional crops, Carl strives to “leave the land better for the next generation.” As one of AmericasPBFarmers, Carl knows a thing or two about crafting the perfect PB&J.
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 tablespoon jelly (Carl's favorite is grape)
2 slices white bread
Mix peanut butter and jelly together. Spread mixture on one slice of bread and top with the second slice to make a sandwich.
Melt butter in a skillet. Grill the sandwich, turning one until browned on both sides. Remove the sandwich from the pan and allow to sit one minute before cutting.
