Here’s some local inspiration:
West Coast health food stores were among the first to popularize the smoothie, selling pureed fruit drinks as early as the 1930s. Today, smoothies include fruit and so much more – and peanut butter is a must-have ingredient, no matter what part of the country you’re in! PB pairs well with nearly every fruit – especially the vibrant red strawberries of the Pacific Coast states. For an easy, protein-packed smoothie that offers plenty of satiety, simply combine peanut butter, strawberries (fresh or frozen), Greek yogurt, milk, pineapple juice and honey. It’s a delicious combo that can be enjoyed any time of day.
